After School Pick-up Policy |
|
Thursday, 28 April 2011 |
|
After School Pick-Up Policy Parents, we have re-instated our after school pick-up policy. Any student who has not been picked up by 3:15 pm will have to be signed out in the front office by a parent or guardian. Students will no longer be allowed to see their ride waiting and leave the office. This sign out procedure will be for record keeping purposes, but can be presented in attendance meetings or truancy court if needed. If there are extenuating circumstances concerning your child's being picked up on time, please contact Mrs. Beth Deere for a possible solution. She can be reached at (731) 968-8457 ext. 409. Thank you for your help and cooperation in this matter. |

LCSS RECEIVES FTT GRANT Lexington City School System is among four school sytems to be recipients of the Innovation Acceleration Fund Grant. This First to the Top grant, as stated, is for multiple structures of innovative compensation.
NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Education has announced that four school systems will receive Innovation Acceleration Fund grants to assist districts in designing and/or implementing alternative salary schedules. Building on initiatives in First to the Top to increase educator effectiveness through innovative compensation structures, newly adopted alternative salary schedules will reward teachers and principals for their ability to increase student achievement levels. “Performance-based compensation is one strategy to recruit, retain, and reward our teachers,” Education Commissioner Bruce Opie said. “Tennessee is increasing our efforts to find and support the best possible talent for our schools, and we expect alternative compensation systems to encourage the same in return.” http://news.tennesseeanytime.org/node/6586
